Zion Williamson On LeBron James: “I Feel He Doesn’t Get The Respect He Deserves

2 Min Read

Zion Williamson may only have a few months of experience in the NBA, but he sees how LeBron James is treated by the masses.

Williamson is set to face LeBron for the first time in his career on Tuesday when the New Orleans Pelicans take on James and the Los Angeles Lakers. In the midst of battling for a playoff spot, Williamson had time to share about his upcoming matchup with the King and the idea that he was not getting nearly the respect he deserves.

On four-time MVP James, he added: “I used to watch him all the time, especially when he was in Cleveland the first time, he was just an incredible player to watch, he always held his own.

“Sometimes I feel he doesn’t get the respect he deserves but it’s not for me to decide.”

Zion did not elaborate on who, exactly, was not showing LeBron enough respect, but it’s clear that the rookie holds him in very high regard. Everyone should because we haven’t seen a player quite like him. A 16x All-Star, 4x MVP, 15x All-NBA player, and 3x Champion, Bron is somehow staying elite at the ripe age of 35.

We are witnessing greatness before our very eyes and how many of us take it for granted?

Williamson is making sure not to do the same.
