Despite not being as praised as other NBA stars, Damian Lillard is without any doubt one of the best players in the league, earning more respect season after season due to his loyalty to the Portland Trail Blazers and his clutch shots to win games and series for his team.
Lillard’s history and his personality are very interesting, which took GQ Magazine to make a video with the All-Star point guard to try to discover the 10 things he can’t live without. Back in February, the 29-year-old revealed his 10 essentials when traveling, and some of them are very curious.
He started with his man purse, talking about the things he needs to carry and how comfortable it is to have this bag. Then, he named his phone charger and cash, as he carried $1900 with him at the time the video was shot. Following that, he named his watch, chapstick, the AirPods and his iPhone.
Those things are pretty common for a basketball player, but he also revealed he carries a book wherever he goes. He explained he reads before going to sleep so he can learn and have some perspective.
Dame then went on to name the hat and his ‘Dame 6’ shoes, the latest release of his series.
Even though Dame is fully focused on his NBA career, he’s getting ready for life after he retires professional basketball. This season the Trail Blazers were struggling to find consistency, but there is no doubt this man will return hungry either this season -if the league resumes action- or the next one.
