Michael Jordan was always ready to take on new challenges, as he never backed down from one. The Chicago Bulls legend became a very famous figure thanks to this, as he was driven by the competition and beat rivals at anything. And if he couldn’t win at first, MJ would always seek revenge.

This was a common thing in his life, as he did with Chuck Daly on the golf course. Jordan was always trying to compete, especially on the basketball court. It’s well known that he had a big passion for the game that even made the Chicago Bulls allow him to play whenever and wherever he wanted to.

However, this situation might have gotten him into trouble with an unexpected rival. During his first retirement, Jordan used to go to the “Athletic Club at Illinois Center” to play against regular people. During those days, one kid wanted all the smoke from Jordan, as he even explained how he would guard the GOAT.

Basketball Mecca shared old footage of MJ competing at this club and also included a 14-year-old talking about how he would guard Jordan. The kid, named Aaron Watkins, boldly said that Jordan’s weakness was his shot.

Watkins said that you just had to keep Jordan on the perimeter, and when MJ moved the ball around, you had to wait for him to make his shot and then go for the rebound. It seems like he had MJ all figured out but never could play against the GOAT since players 18 or under were only allowed on Sundays.

Michael Jordan Once Refused To Take A Pic With A Kid Wearing Reebok Shoes

MJ collected many stories with kids during his life, and a couple of years ago, somebody recalled the moment they met Jordan, and the six-time NBA champion refused to take a picture with them until they took off their Reebok shoes. This explains how serious MJ was about business, a situation that repeated over time

It would have been good to see if the kid Watkins was able to hold his ground against Jordan, but the club’s rule prevented the kid from facing Jordan, although it’s easy to see how that game would have ended.
