Michael Jordan was a big inspiration for a lot of kids around the world, showing that if you work hard for your dreams, they’ll become a reality. The Chicago Bulls legend was inspired by others before him, but there’s no doubt that his impact on the younger generations is unmatched.

Players like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade grew up watching Jordan, and His Airness was very proud of them, even offering advice for their NBA careers. However, not every kid that saw Jordan play saw the best version of the six-time NBA champion.

A couple of years ago, one Redditor shared an old picture of themselves (allegedly) alongside Michael Jordan. This kid appeared barefoot in the pic, but the person behind the post explained that it was due to Jordan’s demands.

His Airness didn’t want the kid to wear Reebok shoes when the picture was taken and refused to get in the pic until the child took off the sneakers. This was a curious moment that gave us a memorable picture. MJ was very serious about it and didn’t care about anything; he didn’t want the shoes in the pic and got his wish granted.

Michael Jordan Once Made A Bunch Of Shots To Not Give Free Shoes To Campers

Just like he did with this kid, MJ starred in another curious moment with a bunch of campers a couple of years ago. This time, Chris Paul challenged him to take some shots, and if he missed one, the kids attending the camp would get free Jordans. It seems like Mike took it personally and didn’t miss a single shot, ruining the kids’ hopes to get some Js.

Jordan was really competitive no matter what, and he really appreciated what was his. It’s not like he was an ogre with kids, as he once took one to the Chicago Bulls bench and spent a lot of time with him, showing his sweet side. Perhaps Jordan is very careful with his brand and business, but he’s a human being that cares about others, as he recently showed with his $10 million donation to the Make-A-Wish foundation.
