Stephen Curry Has A Message After His 62-Point Game: “You Know The Jordan Meme Right? I Take All That Personally.”

Sunday night was very magical for Stephen Curry and the Golden State Warriors. The 2x NBA MVP went off with 62 points on the Portland Trail Blazers, getting the win for his team, 137-122. It’s been a rough start to the season for Curry but it seems like he used all the bad comments and criticism as motivation.

After the match, he talked about his magical night, where he scored the most points in a single game since Devin Booker (70) in 2017. Curry was really happy but didn’t forget about his doubters and the people that slandered him before his great night. Talking with reporters, Curry sent a strong message using one of the most popular memes not only in the NBA but pop culture in general.

“You know the Jordan meme, right? I take all that personally. I sensed the opportunity to kind of assert my will on the game early and try to create some energy, and you know, get off on the right foot,” Curry said. “As crazy as it sounds after the game, all we really wanted to do was win the first quarter and take it from there. Obviously, that’s what we did, and we continued the momentum. We have a winning spirit, we’ve just gotta figure out how to do it consistently, and against the good teams in the league, it’s gonna test us.”

That was a great answer and it describes perfectly how Steph was feeling ahead of Sunday night. He had been talking and firing back at doubters with recent comments, even reminding people that he won three NBA championships against LeBron James, widely considered the greatest player of all time.

Steve Kerr defended Curry against criticism before Draymond Green did the same following Sunday night game. This team is united; they know they have to work harder to improve the results and with an inspired Curry, their chances to make it to the postseason will increase a lot.
