Damian Lillard On Stephen Curry’s 62 Points: ‘You Can’t Dish It Out And Not Be Able Take It’

2 Min Read

Stephen Curry had a terrific night on Sunday when he went off with 62 points over the Portland Trail Blazers. Not even Damian Lillard’s 32 points could do anything against the Dubs, who won an important game, 137-122. That was something great for Steph given how things were developing this season. The point guard proved that he’s not done and the Warriors are ready to compete.

After the game was over, everybody was in awe with the 3x NBA champion, including Damian Lillard, who has been considered Curry’s biggest rival for the honor of best point guard in the league. Plenty of fans see Dame as a threat for Curry and that title, but the Trail Blazers star had nothing but good words to say about Steph after the game.

They were spotted exchanging some words after the match, with Steph even joking with Lillard. He reacted to that on Twitter and paid respect to Curry.

“You can’t dish it out and not be able take it Man shrugging #Respect,” Dame wrote.

Contrary to what many people believe or want to believe, there is no rivalry between these two and they actually get along pretty well. Dame recently talked about Curry’s struggles this season and that also created some kind of drama for fans, as Lillard explained that Curry realized it wasn’t easy to look as well as he did in the past five years.

“I think right now, with the injuries that the Warriors have been dealing with and Steph playing with a younger team right now, he’s seeing that it’s tough to get those quality looks right now,” Lillard earlier this week.

Well, it seems like Steph is recovering his best form and is displaying the same things he displayed during the Warriors’ magical run from 2015 through 2019. This was great to see and their fans should be excited about what’s next for the team.
