Amid a poor start for the Washington Wizards, Bradley Beal has been at the center of countless trade rumors. The 27-year-old guard, who is averaging a career-high 35.4 points per game this season, has emerged as one of the most lucrative assets in the league.
Unfortunately, the 2x All-Star may not be as open to a trade as some might think.

League sources have said for several weeks that Beal has indicated he does not want to be traded this season, if for no other reasons than the logistics and uncertainty during COVID. This is not exactly the best time to go through a major life change, given the global pandemic that continues to rage unstoppably.
During a time of so much change and struggle, familiarity is something we can’t afford to take for granted right now. For Beal, the process of moving his family, finding a home, and adjusting to life with a whole new team, in a whole new city won’t exactly make things easier.
It’s understandable that he’d want to stay.
On the flip side, however, he has made his frustration known to the world, going so far as to admit it publicly. As the Wizards continue to lose games, so, too, does Beal seemingly lose patience.
Nevertheless, he may be willing to endure one more season in this situation, at least until things settle down everywhere else.
