Houston Rockets player Danuel House isn’t living the best moments right now after a tragedy hit his family just a couple of days ago. When nobody expected it, he lost four family members due to an irresponsible driver. On March 14, a driver slammed into the back of the car of Porsha Branch, the wife of Damien House, killing her and her three children.

Via ABC13:

A series of events to remember a mother and three children killed in a fiery crash last week have been scheduled in the coming days.

Porsha Branch was driving on FM 2920 near Gosling on March 14 when Daniel Canada slammed into the back of her car, authorities said.

Branch and her 7-month-old son, Drake House, died in the crash. Branch’s 2-year-old, Messiah House, and 5-year-old King House later died at a hospital.

According to Open-Court, the victims of the fatal accident are the nephews and sister-in-law of the Houston Rockets player, who missed Friday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, seemingly because he attended the events to say the last goodbye to these four people.

Damien House talked with the media about the accident and made it clear that his life won’t be the same after going through something that nobody should ever go through.

“She’s the love of my life and it’s just hard for me to see my wife and three of our kids gone,” House said. “I thought it would get easier, but it just seems to get harder and harder each day.”

“She was a down-to-earth person. She had a wonderful heart. Always helpful. A wonderful mother. She’d give you the shirt off her back. … I’ll never forget her,” he said.

This week, people organized events to help remember the victims of the car, and even today, the four members of the House-Branch family will be celebrated.

A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, March 27 at noon at Community of Faith Church. Burial will take place at Golden Gate Cemetery on Hirsch Road.

This is something that could have been avoided knowing that the man responsible for this crash, Daniel Canada, had been pulled over and was caught with marijuana in his car, something that apparently didn’t bother the police officer that let him go. Now one father lost his three sons and his wife, something that will change his life forever.
