NBA Rumors: Celtics Could Sign DeMarcus Cousins

1 Min Read

With DeMarcus Cousins no longer in a Rockets jersey, his name has surfaced as a potential target for several teams around the association. Perhaps the most intriguing of these is the Boston Celtics, who came up empty in their pursuit of Andre Drummond.

With a relatively thin lineup in the frontcourt, the Celtics are going to have a tough time keeping up with bigs like Joel Embiid, Bam Adebayo, and even Clint Capela.

And while Cousins isn’t nearly as dependable as a guy like Andre Drummond, he still brings a lot to the table, and looks about as ready to go now as he has ever been before…

In 25 games with the Rockets, Cousins averaged 9.6 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 0.7 blocks per game on 37% shooting.

With his, leadership, intensity, and floor-spacing ability, he should be a solid fit next to Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown.

But only time will tell where Cousins decides to go, and if he can help the Celtics (or any team) bring home a title.
