NBA Fans React To Los Angeles Lakers Being 0-2 After Being Blown Out By The Suns: “That’s What Happens When You Put Two Statpadders On The Same Team.”

The Los Angeles Lakers have recently gotten blown out by the Phoenix Suns, which put them at a 0-2 start to the season. That was certainly a suboptimal way to begin the year for a team that many pegged as contenders prior to the regular season.

There have been a lot of comparisons between the 2021-22 Los Angeles Lakers and other “old superteams” with fans believing that these Lakers could be a team that wins it all. However, thus far, it definitely looks as though the Los Angeles Lakers have some work ahead of them if they want to be a championship-caliber team.

NBA Fans reacted to the Los Angeles Lakers’ recent loss, and there’s no doubt that many were ready to poke fun at the Lakers. There’s no doubt that for a lot of other franchises’ fans, watching a contender lose can be somewhat of a cathartic experience.

The @Lakers have a team issue and basketball issue.

It was a complete team effort in the Suns' win vs. the Lakers.

Lakers down 30 at home. They have no reliable three point shooters. Huge issue in today’s league. And damn, they are SLOW defensively. Suns running right past them all night. It’s embarrassing, honestly.

It remains to be seen if the Los Angeles Lakers will be able to figure their issues out, but what they do have going for them, is that they’ve only dropped 2 games from an 82 game season. They still have a lot of time to become that championship-level roster that they envisioned on paper. The team definitely has a lot of talent, and hopefully, these losses can give the players some fire for a bounceback.

With LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Russell Westbrook on the same team, the Lakers should be a contender. However, they need to start winning games in the regular season, so that they can show the world that they are a real threat to win it all. After two losses to other contending teams, the Lakers need to step up. Perhaps we’ll see them step up sooner rather than later, and it will certainly be good for Lakers fans if they are able to do so.
