Kevin Durant Reveals Who Pissed Him Off And Threw Him Off His Game: “Joe Young… If I See Him Again, I’m On His Ass.”

2 Min Read

Kevin Durant is one of the fiercest competitors in the NBA. The Brooklyn Nets superstar is all about winning, always putting up a show for fans.

It is rare to see KD having an off night, but the 2x NBA champion is also a human, like the rest of us. Moreover, he can get pissed and lose focus if somebody uses the right words against him.

That is what he revealed on his The ETCs podcast, recalling what player got in his head and made him play bad. This is not common, but it sure happens, no matter how great KD is.

Talking with former Golden State Warriors teammate Draymond Green, Durant named the one player that made him mad and hurt his game during a match. Back in April 2018, Joe Young of the Indiana Pacers trash-talked KD to get a win for his team.

“Joe Young played for Indiana. He got me one game. He talked so much s**t. I had a s****y game because I was focused on him. If I see him again, I’m on his a**.”

That day, the Pacers beat the Warriors 126-106, with KD posting 27 PTS, shooting 8/23 from the field. He even had an exchange with Young during the game, so you know things were intense.

Young reacted to NBA Buzz’s post on Instagram, saying he’ll reunite with KD soon.

Moreover, he wished a happy birthday to the Nets superstar on his personal profile, claiming he will be back in the league soon than later. Young last played in the CBA for the Beijing Royal Fighters.

After posting a ridiculous league-best 38.3 points per game last year, it wouldn’t be crazy seeing him returning to the NBA in the future. If that moment comes, KD will be ready to get revenge.
