Kevin Durant has played with some of the greatest players of this generation. He shared the court with Russell Westbrook and James Harden when he was with the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Then KD joined the Golden State Warriors where he played with the likes of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. During his stint with the Dubs, he also won two rings and after three seasons, Durant decided to start the next chapter of his career with the Brooklyn Nets.

Even with the Nets, he is in the same locker room with Kyrie Irving and James Harden. But which teammate of KD is the greatest? Well, Mike James believes that Kyrie is his best teammate. Even above Steph Curry, who is regarded as the best shooter in the history of the NBA.

Now, a little more fuel has been added to the debate as Durant apparently liked an Instagram post that said Irving has more skills while Steph shoots better.

Since leaving the Warriors, the Slim Reaper has been quite skeptical about his former teammates. On several occasions, KD has taken sides with the current members of his team.

While Irving is an amazing player, putting him over Steph just seems a bit too much. Curry is a three-time NBA champion and two-time regular season MVP, with many more accolades to his name.

Furthermore, Curry has improved his game a lot since entering the league. His first few years were riddled with injuries, but he never gave up and reached the level he is at today.

On the other hand, Kyrie’s work ethic is questionable at best and he is popular for his shenanigans with his previous franchises.

Well, if the Warriors and the Nets meet against each other in the NBA Finals in 2022, it will be a great matchup. The two guards will go head to head and this debate will be settled for good.

Do you agree with Mike James’ comments? Is Kyrie Irving a better teammate or player than Steph Curry? Or do you believe this controversial take is just absurd? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.
