With the 2021 NBA season at a close, the first-round playoff matchups are officially set, and it’s going to be one hell of a ride.
From Denver/Portland to Miami/Milwaukee, almost every single series is generating some level of hype and intrigue from the NBA community.
Perhaps one of the most exciting matchups involves the Mavericks and Clippers, who are meeting again in the first-round after their 6-game stretch last year.
Looking ahead to the rematch, Dallas star Luka Doncic had a six-word response:

After a sluggish start to the season, the Mavs turned things around to win their division and secure the West’s 5th seed.No doubt, they deserve credit for their perseverance.
But do they have any hope against the Clippers?
With, arguably, the best roster in the West, the Clippers are looking to make amends for last season’s failures, making them one of the hardest opponents to face at the moment, and it’s not particularly good that the Mavs landed them in the very first round.
Still, so long as they have Luka, they have a way. If he can continue to work his magic and play his game, the Mavericks certainly have a chance to pull off a major upset.
Ultimately, we’ll just have to wait and see.
