Shaquille O’Neal Shares Top 5 Players Per Position: “There Should Be No Goat Debate On Who Is The Best Per Position”

Shaquille O’Neal is one of the most active (former and current) NBA players on social media. The four-time NBA champion always engages in debates with fans and expresses his opinions, which often raises eyebrows around the league.

A couple of days ago, he disagreed with the Lakers’ hierarchy, saying he was not tier 2 given his importance for the franchise.

Moreover, in recent hours, he shared a very interesting post talking about the GOAT for every position. Twitter account @DrGuru said that we shouldn’t be arguing about the greatest of all time per position since the five best players at the 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are already settled.

There should be NO debate on who the greatest player ever at each position is:

Steph is the greatest PG

MJ is the greatest SG

LeBron is the greatest SF

Duncan is the greatest PF

Kareem is the greatest C

O’Neal apparently agreed with this and decided to share it with his fans on Instagram. He has made these types of comparisons in recent times, sometimes getting a lot of support or receiving a huge backlash.

This time, though, people didn’t like the fact that Stephen Curry was named ahead of Magic Johnson, widely considered the greatest point guard of all time.

Magic
MJ
KD
Malone
Shaq

Those 5 would annihilate your 5.

Bench:
Curry
Kobe
LeBron
Duncan
Hakeem

I see Steph as the greatest 3pt shooter only, not best PG.

We gotta stop thinking that best shooter means best point guard. I love steph. Mans the best shooter ever but he’s not the best point guard. Hell he’s not even the best point guard in the league.

Magic
Kobe

Worthy
Shaq

You could say Hakeem Olajuwon or even Shaq himself could be the greatest center of all time, too, but for Guru, KAJ was the right pic.

These types of lists always bring controversy, and the NBA community is always ready to show their disagreement with them. Shaq is used to this and he’s not one afraid of sharing his point of view. He has incredible stories to tell and bold takes to make. Here, we had another one.
