Draymond Green is one of the most controversial players in terms of people having mixed opinions on them. Green’s haters will suggest that he doesn’t provide anything tangible on the court as well as his lack of offensive presence. On the opposite end, people who appreciate Green generally say that his impact goes beyond the box score, and point to his smart screen setting and playmaking for his teammates, as well as his elite-tier help defense.

While Draymond Green is certainly a great defender and leader in the locker room, most fans wouldn’t call him a superstar. However, that is not the case for Hall of Fame coach Larry Brown, who has described Draymond Green as one of the best players in the game, and a superstar who doesn’t need the ball.

You have a superstar that doesn’t score the ball in Green, but he does so many things to help the team win. I think if you talk about the best players in the NBA, if you know anything about the game, you’d always put his name in there because of all the things he does to make his teammates better.

Larry Brown brings up a valid point, as most of Draymond Green’s impact isn’t encapsulated by the box score. However, there are some of his achievements that are: Draymond Green is currently averaging a career-high 8.7 APG showing his increased load in creating for others. Draymond Green is part of what makes the Golden State system work, and he is crucial to their success.
