Report: LeBron James To Sit Out Against The Denver Nuggets, Status Uncertain vs. Clippers

Terrible news for the Los Angeles Lakers and LeBron James as the superstar will miss tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets, the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. James left Sunday’s game against the Toronto Raptors with a sore right ankle and is out tonight against a big rival.

The Lakers aren’t in a good position right now, having lost 6 of their last 7 games and now without James on the court, things look harder for them. Shams Charania of The Athletic reports that the 4x NBA champion’s status is unclear for Thursday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.

“Lakers star LeBron James will miss tonight’s back-to-back vs. Denver with sore right ankle. His status is uncertain as of now for the next game, Thursday vs. Clippers.”

Losing LeBron, at this point of the season, is incredibly hard for the Lakers. They are 7th in the Western Conference standings and if things don’t improve really soon, they will be playing in the controversial play-in tournament, something that James would like to avoid at any cost.

It’s uncertain how the season will end for the Lakers but they need to have their superstar back if they aspire to make another run at the NBA title.
