When we talk about Michael Jordan, that only means domination and victories. The Chicago Bulls legend made history with the team, leading them to win 6 NBA championships in 8 years during the 90s. He worked hard to earn his stripes and when he became the best player in the world, there was no stopping for him.

We’ve already seen how fans feel about the Charlotte Hornets owner but Jordan is bigger than that. When you see former players talk about him, you know that man was something special and left a huge mark on the game. Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers legend Jerry West talked about His Airness, expressing his admiration for him, explaining that we’ll never see something similar to what Michael was.

Talking on ‘The Buster Show’, West threw some flowers to the 6-time NBA champion, making it clear that he was a once-in-a-lifetime player and we won’t see anything like him for a lot of years.

“I know Michael pretty well and we’ve talked about things like that. But, I don’t think there’s any question that if you’re a great great player, and certainly I’m not sure we’ve seen a player like him in my lifetime. Because his impressive play on both ends of the court. He was arguably, well I don’t think arguably, he was the best offensive player and the best defensive player in the league, we haven’t seen that. But the competitive nature of Michael was just unique.”

He also mentioned Michael’s incredible competitiveness. MJ was very famous for taking things personally and for making things up so he could get more motivated to face certain rivals. That’s how he became a winner and West remembered that was one of the reasons that led Mike to be the legend he is.

“If there was someone that was sort of a challenge to him, in terms of talking about the best player in the league, he was going to prove that it wasn’t the case. Also, he was going to lead his team. He was just a fierce competitor, but physically, I’m not sure we’ve seen a package like that. The lateral quickness, the vertical, the running, gigantic hands, being able to do things in the air that we’ve seen very rarely… haven’t seen anyone do like him.”

As The Logo said, it’ll be extremely hard to watch another player like Michael Jordan. More players like Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, and more have been compared to Air Jordan but nobody can dethrone him and take his title of ‘GOAT’.
