It’s not a secret that Damian Lillard is one of the fiercest competitors in the NBA. He’s proven that over and over again and Dame isn’t shy to prove his doubters wrong. The Portland Trail Blazers star is always trying to get better and demonstrate that he’s the real deal although some people seem to overlook him and his team.
He recently called out a reporter that picked the Washington Wizards backcourt as a better one than the Portland Trail Blazers. Lillard and CJ McCollum have been terrific this season and now people are starting to pay attention to them. Dame is well aware of that and he didn’t hesitate to show the receipts.
While talking with Aaron Fentress, the All-Star point guard praised his team and their character.
“I think it says a lot about the character of our team and what we’re becoming, ” said Lillard before continuing to give a deeper answer.
He also mentioned some tweets from Fentress that didn’t sit well with the player. He had the chance and didn’t miss it to make it clear he wasn’t having any of that.
“I also saw your Tweets when you was saying that there was a backcourt better than me and CJ, too… You said it was the Wizard’s backcourt.”

Frentress repeatedly claimed that Bradley Beal and Russell Westbrook were better than Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum and Dame was ready to get back at the reporter.

The Wizards remain one of the best teams in the West with CJ and Lillard playing great basketball while Beal and Russ have struggled with the Wizards team that is ranking 14th in the East.
