It’s never easy to win an award in the NBA, as even making it to an All-Star Game can be almost impossible for most hoopers in the league.
Let alone making it to the NBA Finals and have the biggest impact for your team to take the Finals MVP award home. Just a handful of players have ever done that.
So, throughout the course of history, there’s only been 10 players that have not only on an All-Star MVP but also multiple Finals MVP. These guys are the finest and most elite ever, and we0ll list them right now:
Willis Reed

There’s a reason why Magic Johnson is considered to be the greatest point guard in the history of the game. Michael Jordan is the greatest player ever, so he was obviously going to be a part of this list. He won Finals MVP in every single one of his NBA Championships, and he proved to be a fierce competitor in the All-Star Game as well, as he never took a play off in this games, regardless of the fact that it was a friendly matchup.
Tim Duncan
Finals MVP (1999, 2003, 2005), All-Star MVP (2000)
Tim Duncan may have not been the most entertaining player to watch, but he was by far one of the most productive, efficient, and smart, and that’s why he won 5 NBA Championships with 3 Finals MVPs. He also brought his A-game to the All-Star in 2000, when he won the All-Star Game MVP honors.
Shaquille O’Neal

Kevin Durant is one of the most talented players we’ve ever seen. He had to join the Warriors to win a ring, but he made sure to prove that he wasn’t being carried by anybody. He became the team’s alpha dog, and won a couple of Finals MVPs to go along with his regular-season MVP and All-Star MVP awards.
Kawhi Leonard
Finals MVP (2014, 2019), All-Star MVP (2020)
Kawhi Leonard has been a perennial MVP candidate for years but it seems like he doesn’t play enough games to win it. Still, he’s slowly become the best two-way player in the league and it’s not even close. He’s yet to win an MVP, but is already a two-time Finals MVP and All-Star MVP.
