Kyle Kuzma On Comparisons Between LeBron James And Michael Jordan

LeBron James is doing extraordinary things in his 17th year. As he leads his Lakers squad to a dominating performance through the West, he is turning back the clock with averages of 25 points, 10.7 assists, and 7.7 rebounds per game.

His resume, electric playstyle, and ridiculous feats have put him in in G.O.A.T. conversations all around the globe. And, according to what his own teammate Kyle Kuzma said to Brandon Robinson, we shouldn’t be comparing them at all.

(via Brandon Robinson)

Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson: Many people have made comparisons to Michael and LeBron obviously you know of Kobe Bryant and you’ve played with LeBron currently, where do you draw the line I guess in the comparisons of their games, do you see more of a parallel between Magic and LeBron or more of a parallel between Kobe and LeBron?

Kyle Kuzma: They’re all three different players. Obviously Jordan and Kobe played more alike, but you really can’t compare them all. It kinda sucks to compare them because you can’t enjoy what they bring to the game, everything that they brought to it, and their impact. If you compare ‘em. Me, I don’t really compare people I just really enjoy really each other’s greatness.

It’s the same tune sung by experts all around the community: why compare players when there’s so many different ways they can affect what happens on the basketball court?

Then again, comparing players is what helps spark a lot of interesting conversations today — and Jordan and LeBron have more than enough evidence to support their cause.
