LeBron James has finally broken his silence regarding Kobe Bryant’s tragic accident, where he died along with other eight people, including Bryant’s 13-year-old daughter Gigi.

We saw how LeBron was in tears after he heard the news exiting the Lakers’ plane on Sunday. After that, we hadn’t heard from the King until now, where he shared an emotional message to Bryant, promising to continue his legacy.

James took to Instagram to address the deceased Bryant, admitting it was hard for him to write something without getting choked up.

“I literally just heard your voice Sunday morning before I left Philly to head back to LA. Didn’t think for one bit in a million years that would be the last conversation we’d have,” LeBron shared.

Bron just became the face of LA since joining the team last year and promised to keep the “Mamba Mentality” alive by pushing himself and the rest of the team to the best version they can be.

“I promise you I’ll continue your legacy man! You mean so much to us all here especially #LakerNation and it’s my responsibility to put this shit on my back and keep it going!! Please give me the strength from the heavens above and watch over me! I got US here!”

Hours before the tragic accident, LeBron had surpassed Kobe on the All-Time scoring list. If NBA fans feel this loss very personal, imagine how things are for James, who was so close to the 41-year-old during his last hours in this world.
