With LeBron out, Anthony Davis stepped up to have another big game, dropping 37 points with 10 rebounds and four steals. The defense was strong for most of the game, with the Lakers forcing a lot of turnovers, but their poor fourth-quarter play made that pointless.

This is the second game LeBron has missed this season, with Davis ensuring that the Lakers have picked up wins in both games. It does look like he’s battling an injury at the moment, so it’ll be interesting to see how long Davis can keep playing without missing a game. He’s only missed one game so far this season.
The Lakers are now 15-10, improving to be the fifth seed in the West. Given the struggles of other supposed contenders like the Warriors, Clippers, and Suns, the Lakers are on track to have a great season. However, their focus will be on catching the Wolves, Thunder, and Mavericks who have surprised everyone this year to occupy the top three spots in the West.
