Evan Turner Reminds NBA Fans That Michael Jordan Won An NCAA Title While LeBron James Didn’t

Evan Turner hilariously reminded fans that Michael Jordan has won an NCAA title, unlike LeBron James, after the Lakers star won the In-Season Tournament.

LeBron James has now added the NBA In-Season Tournament title to his already impressive resume. After his triumph, many on X hilariously pointed to Michael Jordan never winning the tournament, but Evan Turner was quick to remind them that Jordan did win an NCAA title, which LeBron didn’t.

When O’Shea Jackson Jr., Ice Cube’s son, hilariously replied that Jordan never won a high school title, Turner admitted it was a good point.

It was all just in good fun. LeBron, of course, never went to college, directly entering the NBA out of high school. He never had a chance at winning a national title, just the same way Jordan never had a chance at winning the In-Season Tournament.

In many ways, this In-Season Tournament would have given LeBron the experience he missed out on when he skipped college. Unlike the NBA playoffs, this was single-game elimination, like the NCAA tournament, and he played very well when under the pressure of being in multiple win-or-go-home games.

As for Jordan’s famous triumph with North Carolina, it came in 1982. He hit the game-winner in the championship game and it proved to be a sign of things to come, as he has gone down as one of the greatest clutch players ever.

Evan Turner Previously Roasted LeBron James

Turner likes to have some fun on social media and has taken some light-hearted jabs at many players over the years. LeBron is one of them, as Turner once roasted James by saying the NBA should name the Bubble championship after him.

At the time, the NBA had announced the new names for various awards, so Turner said if there is ever another Bubble championship, it should be named after LeBron. Unsurprisingly, that didn’t go down too well among fans, and Turner then hilariously responded to the criticism that came his way for trolling James.

“I’ve been getting harassed nonstop since I tweeted about the Bron Bron trophy..it’s only fitting that I respond with this:

‘At the end of the day, all the people who want to see me fail, they gotta wake up tomorrow and have the same life they had when they woke up today.’”

Those were, of course, LeBron’s infamous comments after he lost in the 2011 NBA Finals to the Dallas Mavericks. Turner certainly has a knack for trolling, I’d give him that.

LeBron James Reportedly Deleted An Instagram Story With Lyric Of Him Being One Ring Away From Michael Jordan

While winning the In-Season Tournament is quite commendable, it obviously isn’t the same as winning the NBA championship. Apparently, the 38-year-old doesn’t see it that way. LeBron reportedly deleted an Instagram story with a lyric about him being one ring away from Jordan.

“N****s talkin’ ’bout when this gon’ be repeated. What the f***, bro? I’m one away from Michael. N***a, beat it, n***a, beat it, what?”

The lyrics were from Drake’s “First Person Shooter”, and it was about equalling Michael Jackson’s 13 No. 1’s on the Billboard Hot 100 Songs chart. In this context, of course, it would be James believing he now has five championships to Jordan’s six.

I don’t think too many would be buying that. Winning the In-Season Tournament title is not even remotely the same as winning the NBA championship. Deep down, LeBron would know that as well.
