Forward LeBron James has had a fantastic career in the NBA, and there’s no doubt that he’s the face of the Los Angeles Lakers right now. He has won four championships and four Finals MVP awards during his time in the league, and his accomplishments along with his production and longevity have a lot of people believing that James is the GOAT of basketball.

One of the people who believe James is the GOAT is Jamie Foxx.

“He (LeBron) is No.1… Where is the camera? He is No. 1 … Stop all the hype. He drinks GOAT milk and eats GOAT cheese. He is No. 1, I’ve had it with all of y’all.”

There is no doubt that James has a credible GOAT case. He is the all-time leading scorer for the regular season and has dominated the game for longer than anyone else. It is fair to say that there has been no player who has played at a superstar level for longer than James. Even last season, James made the All-NBA Third Team.

This past season, James averaged 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game for the Lakers. It is clear that he is still able to produce with the best players in the league, and we’ll see how he does in year 21 next season.

LeBron James Is Still Hungry To Win Basketball Games

As star players get older, we sometimes see them be less hungry due to them having already accomplished a lot in their careers. However, that does not seem to be the case for James. In fact, Ham has stated that James and Anthony Davis are the most hungry players on the Lakers right now.

“Just his hunger, he and Bron both,” Ham said when asked if he’s noticed any differences in Davis during training camp. “Our two captains are the most hungry. They understand the moment. They not worried about what happened last year or what next year is gonna look like. They’ve submerged themselves into today, and that’s the way you have to be, especially in this business. It’s a marathon. But they’re hungry as ever. They’re intense. We have our fair share of fun for sure, but there’s not a lot of fooling around or goofing off with this group. They’ve set a great tone for everybody being serious about the work that needs to be put in.”

The Lakers definitely have a lot of talent on the roster right now, and they added some pieces, such as Gabe Vincent and Christian Wood. Hopefully, they are able to gel and make a deep playoff run this season.

LeBron James Needs To Continue Being An All-NBA Player For The Lakers

Even though Davis will need to be the leading force for the Lakers next season, James will still need to play at an All-NBA level for the team to get far. It will be interesting to see if James will be able to keep playing at that level, or whether he will decline next season.

Of course, the depth on the Lakers will help him stay fresh for the playoffs, and players like Austin Reaves and D’Angelo Russell can take on some of the ballhandling duties. The team has a lot of shooting as well, so James will have more space to operate.

At the end of the day though, James will do everything to win next season. The key will be for him to stay healthy going into the postseason, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
