  • The Goal For Tyrese Haliburton Is To Make An All-NBA Team

Last season, we saw Tyrese Haliburton make his first All-Star appearance, but the Indiana Pacers ended up missing the playoffs. When speaking to Steve Aschburner of NBA.com, coach Rick Carlisle gave his take on what Haliburton has to do to help the Pacers win.

“Had Tyrese not gone down for 12 or 13 games in January … we were 23-18 when he got injured, then he missed the better part of a month. We went 1-9 right after he got hurt. That speaks to the importance he has to our team.”

Later on in the interview, Carlisle gave an honest take on Tyrese Haliburton’s ability to make his teammates better on the court, noting that this is something that great players consistently do.

“Oh yeah, yeah. He allows those around him to achieve at a high level. That’s one of the consistent definitions of greatness of NBA players. So he’s very special.”

There is no doubt that Tyrese Haliburton will have to show that he is a winning player next season, and not just someone who can put up numbers on a bad team. His ability to uplift his teammates and run an entire offense by himself suggests that this shouldn’t be a problem for him next season.

Last season, Tyrese Haliburton averaged 20.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists per game, while shooting 40.0% from 3PT range. Hopefully, he gets even better next season, and Haliburton might well be on his way to becoming a superstar.

Tyrese Haliburton Signed A Five-Year, $260 Million Contract Extension With The Indiana Pacers This Summer

This summer, Tyrese Haliburton signed a five-year, $260 million contract extension with the Indiana Pacers. It is clear that he and the franchise are committed to one another long-term, and it will be interesting to see how far Haliburton is able to lead them. After he signed the five-year, $260 million extension with the Pacers, Tyrese Haliburton emotionally thanked his mother.

“My mom has been my everything for me to get here. I can’t even put into words to explain everything, but I’m just really appreciative of you, Mom, because of all the stuff of us growing up, and you pushing me to be where I am today… I love you and I’m really appreciative of you. So, thank you, mom.”

It is clear that Tyrese Haliburton was appreciative of everything his mom helped him with during his NBA journey. He has officially made it as a star in the league and acquired generational wealth in the process. Hopefully, we see Haliburton have many more good years in the NBA going forward.

The Goal For Tyrese Haliburton Is To Make An All-NBA Team

There is no doubt that Tyrese Haliburton is already a quality player who plays at an All-Star level. The next leap for him to make is becoming a top-15 player in the association, which means making an All-NBA team.

The key to making an All-NBA team is obviously the ability to drive winning. The Indiana Pacers could be poised to make a leap next season, and if they do it would be no surprise to see Haliburton rewarded.
