Zion Williamson has had to deal with the whole Moriah Mills saga this offseason and rapper Chris Brown had some advice for the 23-year-old. Brown recently made an appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, where he was asked about Zion’s situation.
“It’s hard out here. I would just pray for Zion, man,” Brown said. “Just pray, and be the best man you can be at that point. I’m blessed to have three children, three different baby mommas, but at the same time, the relationship that I built with them and the energy that I kinda come with is, I don’t know, I’m a little bit more subtle with it.”
Brown has three children with three different women. The first named Royalty was born in 2014 to Nia Guzman, then Aeko in 2019 to Ammika Harris, and finally Lovely in 2022 to Diamond Brown. The 34-year-old admitted the situation can be very hard.
“It’s very hard, but you gotta also watch out,” Brown added. “We all wanna be in the same spot, the same places, the clubs. To this day, I still wanna see some beautiful women. But at the same time, you just got to be mindful of the certain company you will keep or the trappers that will set themselves.”
Brown thinks that Zion’s teammates would have spoken to him and stated he understands what Williamson is going through.
“As athletes, I’m pretty sure that the guys on the team probably gave him real pep talk,” Brown continued. “‘Look you can’t do this.’… It’s a little bit different, but I understand what he’s going through. So he just gotta hold his head together man.”
He just has to hold his head together at this point and try to manage this situation. Zion only has himself to blame for getting into this mess, although, the New Orleans Pelicans star probably didn’t imagine in his wildest dreams that the situation would become this messy.
The Zion Williamson-Moriah Mills Controversy
When it was announced that Zion was expecting a daughter with his girlfriend, no one could have anticipated the firestorm that was about to start because of it. Mills was furious when she found out, as she and Williamson had been in some kind of relationship as well.
She proceeded to call him out numerous times, and Mills even shared a positive pregnancy test on Instagram amid the whole Zion controversy. We haven’t heard anything on the pregnancy front since then, though. Mills also accused Zion of beating her and then promising to pay $62,000 to keep quiet.
It was just a whirlwind of accusations and threats for a couple of weeks before everything died down. We haven’t heard much from Mills recently, and frankly speaking, it’s for the better.
Zion Williamson Is Preparing His Body For A Long Season
Zion averaged an impressive 26.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 4.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game in the 2022-23 season. The problem, of course, was that he only played 29 games.
The two-time All-Star has been heavily criticized for missing so much time due to injuries, as the belief is that it’s down to him not taking care of his body. It seems Williamson has finally understood that as well.
Zion is now focused on ensuring that his body is prepared for a long season, as per Pelicans insider Will Guillory. Williamson’s insane workout pictures also went viral last month, and it appears he wants to right the wrongs of the past. Will he though? Well, we’ll soon find out.
