- Paul George was asked to give his best Charles Barkley impression on his podcast
- George absolutely nailed the impression
- George hilariously brought up Barkley’s criticisms regarding today’s NBA
Had Paul George never made it to the NBA, he might have been able to make a career out of being an impressionist. On the latest episode of Podcast P, George was asked to do some impressions and his one on Charles Barkley was so good, that it had his co-hosts in stitches.
“Jackie the thing about it,” George hilariously stated. “Let me tell you, see, back when I played … you almost had to chuck a guy when he got hot, or fouled him and put him on his a**. But these guys now are just too soft.”
(starts at 56:46 mark):
The tone and what he said there was just typical Barkley. The complaints about players being too soft and how back in the day things were different were on the point.
This wasn’t actually the first time that George did a Barkley impression. He had done a short one on his podcast earlier this year, and it was pretty good.
Paul George Had A Warning For The NBA
The 33-year-old was in great spirits here, but expect his demeanor to change when the 2023-24 season comes around. George sent a stern warning to the NBA after another failed Clippers season by stating he is going to be on his “bully s***” next season.
Clippers fans are just wishing he stays healthy more than anything else.
In 56 games last season, George averaged 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.4 blocks per game. The eight-time All-Star was out injured during the playoffs, and that played a big role in the Clippers being eliminated in five games by the Phoenix Suns in the first round.
After the season, George promised Clippers fans that they would get it right at some point, but time is running out for him and Kawhi Leonard. Next season might well be their last shot and hopefully, they both can stay healthy for once.
