- Andre Iguodala says Poole will average 30 points per game next season
- Iguodala hilariously reveals what will give his former teammate an extra push
- Poole is facing an uncertain future after trade from the Warriors
Jordan Poole may be gone from the Golden State Warriors, but there is still some internal belief that the best is yet to come for the young sharpshooter. Speaking about his former teammate on the Gilbert Arenas show, Warriors veteran Andre Iguodala even went so far as to say Poole will average 30 in D.C.
He also noted that Poole might go off for even more points depending on who is in the stands. “He’s going to average 30 at home,” said Iggy. “And it’s Chocolate City, so you know who’s going to be in the stands… Every time he sees a bad chick, he’s going for 40.”
Andre’s comments go back to the start of last season when it was revealed that Poole’s ultimate motivation comes from hot women sitting amongst the crowd during games.
“I was actually on the phone with him the other day and I had seen a video and it said Jordan Poole plays like he’s trying to steal your girl,” said former Warriors guard Nico Mannion on his former teammate. “And I told him that and he was like, ‘Yeah that’s the point.’ They get there with you and they leave with me, and he just started laughing.”
Poole was able to win a title with the Warriors in 2022, and it proved that he can be a big contributor to a title team. Sadly, due to personal drama with Draymond Green, Jordan lost his focus in Golden State and his play fell off to a massive degree.
Will Poole Succeed With The Wizards?
It’s hard to say for certain what comes next for Poole. At the very least, his days of competing for a title are on hold now, as Washington is currently not projected to be a playoff team in the East.
The hope for Poole is that he can start with a clean slate and get his career back on the right track. With enough motivation and determination, he can prove all the haters wrong, but it will not be an easy task.
With only Kyle Kuzma and a few other notable veterans, the Wizards are very much in a rebuild and Jordan Poole is going to be leading the way. But if Iguodala is right about him, then maybe the Wizards are actually set to finally turn things around after years of mediocrity.
