  • LeBron James’ overall ratings in NBA 2K24 were released earlier
  • He ties alongside big names Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo
  • Nikola Jokic with 98 has the highest overall rating

As NBA 2K24 updates continue to trickle down, the latest sees LeBron James’ ranking of 96 overall, matching Joel Embiid and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Stephen Curry and Kevin Durant were the other players with a 96 rating, and all of these stars will be tied second with Nikola Jokic, who has the highest overall rating with 98.

That said, the NBA 2K24 team will continue to update ratings throughout the season, and that would mean James will have an ascending run or a dip, depending on how his season progresses. Over the years, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer has consistently had one of the highest ratings in the game. In 2K23, he had a 97 overall.

For a player who plays the game, James had once shed light on how he played the game:

“I play just like I play in real life on video games, which really makes a lot of my friends upset. They expect me to shoot every time, and I don’t.”

And should this indeed be the approach, chances are James will surely be playing 2K24 when it’s released.

2K24 Ratings Aside, Lakers Fans Will Hope LeBron James Will Lead The Team To Another Championship

While the NBA 2K24 surely has enough to talk about, including how LeBron James plays the game, in the game — much of the focus this season, though will be on his 21st season in the NBA and how he fares for the Lakers.

Despite his spate of injuries last season, James was a force for LA averaging 28.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 6.8 assists in 55 games. He was instrumental as the team made the conference finals before going down 0-4 to the Denver Nuggets, who subsequently won their maiden NBA championship.

Come this 2023-24 season, James will spearhead a talented Lakers roster alongside Anthony Davis. With the roster built around their two superstars, all eyes will be on the forward to see if he can lead the team to another championship, his fifth in the league and second with the Lakers.
