Every offseason, we get a clip or two from what Nikola Jokic is doing in Serbia, and it’s always entertaining. Whether he’s dancing or riding horses, Jokic’s alternative interests often fascinate fans.
Jokic was in Naples for a horse race and was approached by a fan. The fan gifted Jokic a beer, something the reigning Finals MVP happily accepted, before signing a vintage Carmelo Anthony Nuggets jersey for the fan.

Outside of the questionable decision to have Jokic sign a Melo jersey, this was a very wholesome interaction. Jokic is clearly having the offseason he wants after a grueling season that ended with him and his Nuggets winning the NBA Championship for the first time in franchise history.
The Nuggets Chances At Repeating Are Hurt
After the Nuggets won the title, Michael Malone made it clear that he wants the team to become a dynasty. Unfortunately, free agency hasn’t lent itself well to those plans, as key rotational players have already left for big-money offers. Bruce Brown is now on the Indiana Pacers, while Jeff Green is on the Houston Rockets. They re-signed DeAndre Jordan, at least, so the least usable player of the three got to stay.
The team also re-signed Reggie Jackson to a questionable contract and haven’t made any moves to reinforce their wing. They do not have a mid-level contract to offer, so they will have to go bargain bin hunting to make the squad stronger. There aren’t really many good wing options for the minimum that teams like the Suns and Lakers haven’t already hoovered up.
Hopefully, a small trade could help Denver find some value to add to their squad. With the improvements teams are making around them, their dynastic run could be over before it even starts.
