Rich Paul is one of the most famous agents, not just in basketball, but all of sports. The CEO of Klutch Sports boasts a massive client list, including LeBron James, Draymond Green, Anthony Davis, and Ben Simmons among many others.

And on the first day of the 2023 NBA free agency, Paul pulled off quite the feat as he secured massive contracts for several clients. Paul was able to get his clients a combined $390 million on opening day.

Rich Paul negotiated a 4-year, $100 million extension for Draymond Green with the Golden State Warriors. Then, he pulled off another massive extension, as he got Jerami Grant a 5-year, $160 million contract from the Blazers. And finally, he got Raptors guard Fred VanVleet a 3-year, $130 million deal with the Houston Rockets.

Paul was able to secure massive contracts for his clients, pulling off a negotiating masterclass. While these players are all great, one could make the argument that Paul was able to secure a contract for them that pays them far more than any other team would be willing to.

Is Rich Paul The Best Agent In The NBA?

Rich Paul has long been considered one of the best agents in the NBA. He gained notoriety as a super agent after representing LeBron James since the start of his career. Considering the massive superstar LeBron James is, Paul did a fantastic job as his agent, securing massive endorsements for him.

Paul and LeBron are old friends, and James is proud to have Paul represent him. In fact, after news broke about the various deals in free agency, LeBron James took to Twitter to give Paul his flowers and make sure others put some respect on his name.

Paul got Fred VanVleet a massive pay rise with the Rockets, which both of them will be thrilled about. NBA fans, however, were quite harsh on the Rockets, calling the deal ‘the biggest overpay of the millenium’. Regardless of what fans may think, Paul can be incredibly proud of his work.
