Nikola Jokic is not one to care too much about All-Star weekend, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have some fun when he does get there.

Back during the 2020 edition, when he was on Team LeBron, Jokic had some fun by imitating his team captain’s three-point shot in front of him during a practice session.

We never see the ball that Jokic shot come down in that clip, so one can only wonder where it ended up. LeBron, meanwhile, swished it as he often tends to do when he goes for that move. Paul George once hilariously called it the best signature move in the game today, because he’d never seen James miss it.

Team LeBron would go on to win that game by a 157-155 scoreline over Team Giannis, with Kawhi Leonard winning All-Star Game MVP. James had 23 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists, a steal, and 2 blocks in the contest, while Jokic had 5 points, 2 rebounds, an assist, and a steal.

Nikola Jokic Spoke About The All-Star Game

Jokic has been an All-Star in each of the last five seasons and he has been on Team Lebron the last four times. This past season though, he was surprisingly the second-last selection and basically joined Team LeBron before being picked.

When asked after the game about whether he was surprised to be picked seventh, Jokic said he was not. He hilariously added that he wouldn’t draft himself either because the All-Star game isn’t for him.

His game doesn’t really translate all that well to what is basically an exhibition. Jokic’s passes may be quite fancy, but the rest of this game isn’t flashy at all. He plays at his own slow pace and isn’t a high flyer by any means, which translates to being a poor All-Star game performer. That certainly isn’t something that would keep Jokic up at night, as he is more focused on things that actually matter, like winning an NBA title.
