The Denver Nuggets walked out of Game 5 of the NBA Finals with an 89-94 win to clinch the 2023 Championship over the Miami Heat in a 4-1 series win.

Nikola Jokic is going to be crowned the Finals MVP for his incredible performance in the Finals. He has been dominant the entire season and put the cherry on top of this incredible run with the title. He seemed pretty muted after the win and celebrated in his classic fashion when asked how it felt to win the title.

“It’s good. It’s good. The job is done and we can go home now.”

Nikola Jokic averaged 30.2 points, 14.0 rebounds, and 7.2 assists in the Finals and dominated for his team. This is the first time in league history that one player has led the playoffs in total points, rebounds, assists, and win shares. An incredible season was just accomplished, and Jokic can go back to Serbia and buy one or two new horses as a reward for himself.

Nikola Jokic Cements Himself As An All-Time Great

With this win, Jokic has officially accomplished everything he could have set out to. He has dominated this entire season and was unfortunate to miss out on the MVP award for a third consecutive season. People hated him immensely during this season and he proved all his doubters wrong in the postseason.

Jokic averaged 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists during the season and 30.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 9.5 assists through the playoffs. He led the Nuggets to their first-ever NBA championship and the franchise will be hoping he can bring more success to this franchise after he ends their 47-year run without a title.
