At the time of this writing, Jokic is averaging 30.5 PPG, 13.4 RPG, and 10.1 APG in the playoffs for the Denver Nuggets. Couple this with his immense IQ, his basketball acumen, and his leadership qualities, the Serbian surely makes a case for himself as one of the best centers to play the game.
That said, he will be up against historically legendary big men in Shaquille O’Neal, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and even Bill Russell. All of them have been instrumental in their teams. Only time will tell if he can indeed cement himself in the pantheon of great centers in the NBA.

According to his teammate Aaron Gordon, Jokic is redefining the center position in the league, comparing him with former Los Angeles Lakers legend Magic Johnson.
“Players that can just do anything, regardless of size,” Gordon said in the preview interview of Game 4. “He’s kind of like breaking that mold, kind of like how Magic Johnson did with the point guard position. He’s breaking the mold of the center position that’s only been dominated down on the block. Now, he’s being dominant from 40 feet and everywhere on the floor.”
