Miami Heat Reportedly Expect Tyler Herro To Be Back For Game 3

The Miami Heat have made an improbable Finals run this season, which is impressive because they have arguably been less talented than some of the teams they have faced. They have won based on heart, execution, and defense, and it is clear that they deserve to be in this position.

The team has also withstood the absences of key players. One of those players is Tyler Herro, who is the No. 2 scoring option for the team. However, it seems as though his return is on the horizon, as it was recently reported that he should be back for Game 3 of the NBA Finals against the Denver Nuggets.

“I have been told by people who were in the building [on Sunday] that Tyler Herro was a full participant in Heat practice. He looked quote-unquote ‘amazing’ and did everything he normally would do to get ready for a game. They’re just not ready to put him in. He is expected to make his return to the lineup for the first time in nearly two months Wednesday for Game 3 back in Miami.”

It will definitely be interesting to see if this does come to pass. The Miami Heat have struggled with their offense outside of Jimmy Butler, and Tyler Herro’s return would definitely help them on that end of the floor.

In the regular season, Tyler Herro averaged 20.1 PPG, 5.4 RPG, and 4.2 APG. We will see how he does upon his return, and his ability to create his own shot will be a boon for the Heat.

Paul Pierce Said Tyler Herro’s Injury Was “Blessing In Disguise” For Miami Heat

Even though nobody wants injuries to happen to players, it seems as though Paul Pierce believes Tyler Herro getting hurt might have been a “blessing in disguise” for the team, as he believes Caleb Martin is a better player.

“I don’t want to hear nothing about Herro,” Pierce said when Kevin Garnett spoke of his potential return. “If I’m Miami, how do you even play him? They have a rhythm going. Herro being hurt might have been a blessing in disguise for them because we see what Caleb Martin turned into because Caleb Martin is better than Herro. That might throw Caleb off. You throw him off by bringing Herro back. I don’t want to see it.”

There is no doubt that the Heat have done well, but missing a player like Tyler Herro has still hurt them. Hopefully, though, they will be able to continue overcoming his absence.
