NBA superstar star Stephen Curry is as much to credit as anyone for the rise and success of the Golden State Warriors. Thanks to his amazing talent and transformational play, the Dubs were able to build a dynasty that will be immortalized forever. Sadly, the guy who helped build the team has stepped down from his role as GM/President and it leaves the franchise with a lot of questions about the future.

As for Curry, he has been mostly quiet about this ongoing situation but he did finally make a statement on social media Tuesday, when he posted the following to his IG story:

“Before the trophies and the memories over this run, I remember I told you ‘you better get it right!’ And you did. The GM role was great and you did your thing, but forever grateful for you as a friend forever. Changed each other’s lives! Enjoy the next chapter my guy. Thank you Bob!”

Myers gets to move on to his next project as a legend, champion, and pillar to one of the greatest dynasties ever made. While teams across the league will be vying for his services, it’s uncertain if Myers will jump into another NBA gig right away.

For the Warriors, it’s going to be hard to replace a guy like Bob Myers, but there is still reason to be optimistic about their future. With Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Draymond Green still playing like the best players in the game, the championships may not be over for this version of the Warriors.

Nevertheless, they will have to navigate some tough questions about their team this summer if they want to reach their full potential.

What Will The Warriors Do This Offseason?

With Myers officially out the door, much debate is being had about the direction this franchise can go. While some are suggesting a small rebuild for the Warriors, most think they can still contend with a few tweaks to the supporting cast.

“So as far as the future goes, what I can tell you is, like I said last night, which is I want to be here. I’ve been here 11 years. You don’t just give that away, you don’t just throw that away,” said Draymond Green. “And quite frankly, I think we still have more championships that we can and will win. But there’s also an understanding that this is a business and I know the business side of it. I know the penalties that lie ahead with the new CBA. I think winning is worth it…”

Only time will tell us how this all plays out, but I expect the Warriors to continue building up what they already have in place. While it may take some time to replace Myers in the front office, they have more than enough talent and experience to stay afloat and only a fool would count them out…
