After eliminating the Golden State Warriors in the second round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs, the Los Angeles Lakers are ready to face the Denver Nuggets for a spot in the NBA Finals.

Many would think that the Lakers must be happy with their season, but their two stars recently clarified that they’re not done and want to go for so much more in the future.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis were asked if they were playing with house money now, and they were quick to shut that down.

“Nah. As Vando would say, ‘Nah.’ We’re trying to win every hand,” LeBron James stated.

Anthony Davis confirmed this, saying that what people see from the outside isn’t the same as what the team is feeling.

“That’s y’all expectations. Our expectations inside are high,” Davis said.

This shows that the Lakers are ready to make more noise in the playoffs, but now the challenge will get incredibly harder. The Purple and Gold are ready to make a splash against the No. 1 seed in the West, but they know that will be very difficult.

Still, this team is ready to make history and advance to the Finals for the first time in three years. As long as their two stars are healthy, the Lakers will stand a chance against anybody, especially with LeBron saving energy for upcoming matches

The Los Angeles Lakers Went From A 2-10 Start To The Western Conference Finals

This season went from terrible to great for the Lakers. Everybody was convinced they wouldn’t do anything after their 2-10 start, but the team kept fighting. Ahead of the trade deadline, they made big moves, which allowed Darvin Ham to have a much better team.

They made it to the playoffs via the play-in tournament and now are only four wins away from the NBA Finals. Fans are very excited about these Lakers, and they only want to keep playing until the Larry O’Brien trophy belongs to them again.
