Joel Embiid saw his Philadelphia 76ers collapse in the fourth quarter of an elimination game that would’ve sent him to his first Conference Finals against bitter rivals in the Boston Celtics.

Embiid wasn’t happy about how the 76ers executed in the fourth quarter, complaining about the lack of touches he received down the stretch.

“I think it was 3 things. We had a lot of wide-open shots, we didn’t make them. We stopped moving the ball. I don’t think I touched the ball in the last 4 minutes of the game. We got some good looks, I didn’t touch the ball at all.”

The 76ers saw Jayson Tatum put in one of the worst performances of his career for three quarters before he turned into Kobe Bryant for a 16-point fourth quarter to seal the game. Philly’s offense looked good with Tyrese Maxey, but another bad James Harden game doomed the team’s offense in a game where Boston was defending really well.

Can The Philadelphia 76ers Pull Off A Game 7 Win?

The 76ers are going to be heading into an extremely hostile TD Garden for a Game 7 against the Celtics. They will need Joel Embiid to show the world why he is the MVP of the league and dominate that game. This is a player that has never been to the Conference Finals and has lost multiple times to Boston in the postseason, he needs to buck that trend this season.

James Harden can’t be relied upon for consistency, so everyone will hope he can find his 40-point self for one more game in the season. Maxey has shown he’s not afraid of the moment, and the team needs to come together to pull this off. Even if Doc Rivers is their head coach and his Game 7 record may be one of the worst in NBA history.
