Superstar LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers recently lost Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors, finishing with a score of 127-100. Undoubtedly, the Lakers must improve to win Game 3, as they trailed for the majority of the game.

Former Laker Gary Payton was in attendance for the game, and as the Lakers were trailing by 11 at halftime, he had some words for LeBron James. A lot of fans on Twitter debated what Payton told James. Two fans suggested that James was told to stop flopping.

Another fan thought that Payton was giving James overall advice for the game and telling the superstar to drive to the basket.

Many fans thought that Payton simply wanted to tell James to see him after the game.

One person stated that Payton was trash-talking James.

There’s no doubt that fans had a lot of different opinions on this moment between LeBron James and Gary Payton. It will be interesting to see if LeBron James reveals what happened here, and we’ll have to wait to see if that happens.

LeBron James Spoke On The Lakers’ Mental Toughness In The Playoffs

Even though they lost Game 2 against the Warriors, the Lakers are ultimately in an advantageous position, as they managed to steal an away game and are going to play Games 3 and 4 at home. Part of that has been their mental toughness, and LeBron James previously praised the Lakers for their resiliency.

“Since we made acquisitions, we’ve been able to be very resilient in games. We have been playing playoff basketball for about 2.5 months now… just punch our clock in and be ready to play right now in the postseason.”

“So, we’ve been very resilient tonight versus a team like Golden State,” he opined. “We know how great they are on their home floor for years. To withstand that is another good start for our ball club.”

The Los Angeles Lakers are definitely in a good position to win the series, but the key is obviously winning both games at home. That is going to be difficult due to the presence of Stephen Curry on the Warriors, but hopefully, the greatness of LeBron James can help them overcome this challenge. Though he isn’t the same player, LeBron James has beaten the Warriors before.
