As the world impatiently waits for the latest chapter of the LeBron vs. Curry saga, the Golden State Warriors are doing everything they can to stay locked in and ensure they are ready to bring their best against the Lakers.
As those around the NBA world make their picks, Dubs swingman Andrew Wiggins made the case for why his squad is in a good position to not only win this series but also defend their title.
“A hundred percent we can do it. We’ve got the pieces for it,” Wiggins told The Athletic. “We’ve got the coaching for it. We’ve got the fans. I feel like we’re in good shape.”

Obviously, we know what this core can do together when healthy. In the Steve Kerr era, the Dubs are undefeated against Western Conference opponents in the postseason, and that streak continued after their Game 7 win over the Kings on Sunday.
But for the Warriors t survive until the end and complete the mission, Steph Curry is going to have to go nuclear and prove to the world that he still runs the NBA.
Is Stephen Curry The Best Player In The NBA?
Steph is already 35 years old, and there was much doubt that he could sustain another long playoff run this year. But, through the first round, Steph has been playing the best basketball of his career and he’s got the ultimate respect f everyone in the locker room.
“He is that guy,” said Warriors guard Gary Payton II at his locker after the game. “So when he speaks, everybody better listen. Because 30 is usually quiet and lets his game speak for itself. But he had to say what he had to say, because he knew what type of vibe it was … and I don’t think he wanted to give this one up. So he led and we followed.”
So, no matter the doubts you had about the Warriors heading into this postseason, Stephen Curry is living proof that star power and talent can triumph over all.
Clearly, Andrew Wiggins and the rest of the Warriors believe in their guy and what the team can do when at their best. Now all they have to do is follow Steph’s lead and let it all play out…
