Dillon Brooks’ suffering hasn’t ended after his Memphis Grizzlies were put to rest by the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs.

After he mercilessly attacked LeBron James following Game 2 of this series, Brooks refused to talk with the media, earning a lot of criticism from fans with these actions. Now that the series is over, the NBA fined him over this.

“Memphis Grizzlies forward/guard Dillon Brooks has been fined $25,000 for violating league rules governing media interview access, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.

“The fine results from Brooks’ failure to participate in team postgame media availability during the first round of the 2023 NBA Playoffs,” a statement shared by the league reads.

Brooks looked pretty confident in himself and his team following the Grizzlies’ blowout win in Game 2, but things changed for him after Game 3. The Lakers went on to win two consecutive matches, taking a 3-1 lead.

Even after the Grizzlies won Game 5, things didn’t change for Brooks. And when the Lakers completed their job, Brooks didn’t even wait for reporters before leaving the team’s locker room

He went from being a bully to somebody that couldn’t even talk to the media. Brooks claimed that he was portrayed as a villain, but the truth is that nobody but him made those bold statements about LeBron James.

Dillon Brooks Is Laughing Stock Around The NBA

Now that this series is over, everybody has something to say about Brooks. Lakers fans trolled him before Game 6. Once the game was over, he did a walk of shame where other fans mocked him. Snoop Dogg trolled him over his 40 points comments against LeBron, and they’re not the only ones picking on Brooks.

He really thought he would win this series after one game and let himself go a little too much. LeBron James and his Lakers did the talk on the court, completely nullifying Brooks and co., sending them home in six games.
