Charles Barkley Roasts Nuggets vs. Timberwolves: “I Was Watching Hockey On TBS I’m Not Gonna Lie. This Game Is Boring As Hell.”

Charles Barkley was not enjoying the late-night game between the Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves ended up having an incredibly fun OT thriller where Minny saved their season by winning Game 4 and forcing Game 5.

Up until now, this has been the least exciting series and was turning out that way around halftime. Charles Barkley was not happy about being up late watching this game and said he was watching hockey instead during the first half.

“I was watching hockey on TBS I’m not gonna lie. This game is boring as hell.”

Ernie Johnson: "Is it just me or does this game need a Red Bull?"

Barkley seemingly cursed the game, as Anthony Edwards led the Wolves to a late 12-point lead before the Nuggets erased that in 2 minutes by going on a 12-0 run led by Nikola Jokic. Edwards took over in OT, hitting a dagger 3-pointer at the end to clinch the win. Hopefully, Barkley enjoyed the second half enough to not want to watch hockey, even though the action in the sport tonight was also great.

Can Minnesota Make A Comeback?

This Wolves’ win felt very similar to the two games the Toronto Raptors won over the Philadelphia 76ers last season after falling down 3-0. Chris Finch has coached his team really well and they can scare the Nuggets into extending the series. The odds of them winning 4 consecutive games against the No. 1 seed are slim but they’re going to try nonetheless.

This win also ensured that the Brooklyn Nets are the only team in the NBA to be swept in the first round for the second consecutive season. The Wolves fought hard in the playoffs last year and they’re going to repeat the same this year. Game 5 is going to be in Denver, so it’ll be interesting to see if the Wolves and Anthony Edwards have some more in them.
