Chris Paul is regarded as one of the best point guards of this generation. Paul is yet to achieve the ultimate goal in the NBA, which is, of course, winning a title.

As of now, CP3 is a part of the Big 4 of the Phoenix Suns. Evidently, he has a shot at fulfilling his dream of winning the NBA Championship. Ahead of the postseason, Paul reiterated the value of lifting the glorious Larry O’Brien trophy.

“I appreciate it. No one wants it more than I do,” Chris Paul said, according to Sportsnaut. “It’s cool. I got a lot of guys around this league that I’ve known for a long time and have been close to, so I appreciate it. “I just keep playing. I just keep going. That’s my mindset.”

Paul averaged 13.9 PPG, 4.3 RPG, and 8.9 APG this season. Considering he is now the third option on the Suns since the arrival of Kevin Durant, Paul’s numbers are solid.

With Durant and Devin Booker taking charge of the team’s offense, CP3 has the perfect opportunity to play to his strengths and help the Suns win the 2023 NBA title.

Chris Paul Is Under A Lot Of Pressure To Win The NBA Championship

Chris Paul is about to turn 38 years old and is in the final few years of his NBA career. Keeping that in mind, the championship window for Paul is shutting down.

Paul is considered the ‘Point God’ by most in the NBA community. He is undoubtedly one of the greatest point guards to ever play the game. But according to NBA analyst Stephen A. Smith, that status is what puts Paul under the most pressure to win a ring this season.

“The Point God himself, one of the greatest point guards to ever grace the basketball court. We all know what Chris Paul brings to the table, but here’s the deal. Even though you were in the Finals a year before, you’ve never had a better chance than now. You have Kevin Durant. Easy money sniper, this brother can score 50 every night and average 30 points in his sleep. One of the greatest offensive players in basketball is now your teammate. His sidekick is Devin Booker, and I forgot to mention the 7-footer Deandre Ayton. The bottom line is that the Phoenix Suns have the tools and are arguably the favorites to come out of the West. If Chris Paul is healthy with these weapons available to him, there is no excuse for the Phoenix Suns to not be in the Finals.”

Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns will start their journey in the 2023 playoffs against the Los Angeles Clippers. The Suns are the heavy favorites to win the series and easily advance to the next round in the playoffs.

But will they live up to these expectations? Or are we in for another upset featuring CP3? We will find out in the upcoming weeks.
