After James Harden, Jaylen Brown is another superstar linked to the Houston Rockets, with reports emerging that the guard is on the rebuilding franchise’s radar.

Per ESPN 97.5, the Rockets are interested in adding Brown to their ranks and pursuing a “new direction.”

The network’s insider, John Granato, added that the front office will also look for a veteran coach in the summer and mentioned Ime Udoka, the former Boston Celtics coach who Brown has played under.

The Rockets will surely have hit the jackpot if they manage to pull off this stunner in the offseason. While Udoka’s CV certainly speaks volumes about his tactical genius, Brown’s tumultuous relationship with the Celtics after the team’s tendency to involve him in trade chatter makes him a prime contender to leave the franchise and look for a new home.

Brown would be eligible for a supermax deal if he makes the All-NBA team. That said, chances are that he may look at having a conversation about a long-term deal with the Celtics when the ongoing season comes to an end.

Jaylen Brown Rakes In $2 Million Bonus After Handsome Win Against The Bucks

The bonus clause was in full effect, and Jaylen Brown had some moolah coming his way after the Boston Celtics’ win against the Milwaukee Bucks.

ESPN’s Bobby Marks outlined the incentives in store for Brown. The guard earned  $518,000 for playing 65 games this season and another $1.55 million for games played and making the All-Star cut.

Per Spotrac, his base salary for the season is $26.7 million, and these add two more million to the existing chunk taking it to $28.7 million. Marks also added that he could rake in extra incentives before the end of the season.

Brown has been instrumental for the Celtics this season, averaging 26.9 PPG, 6.9 RPG, and 3.4 APG. Boston has been one of the teams to beat this season, courtesy of Brown and Jayson Tatum, who is widely regarded as the best duo in the NBA today.

Only time will tell if they can indeed go the distance, and Brown will surely pick up more nuggets en route.
