The Oklahoma City Thunder were expected to be one of the worst teams in the NBA for years to come. However, they found an absolute gem of a player in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Shai has been adding more to his game each season, and in the 2022-23 NBA season, he also earned his first All-Star selection. On top of that, Shai is averaging monster numbers. So much so that Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has joined an elite list of players that previously only featured Michael Jordan, LeBron James, and Dwyane Wade.

Yes, Shai is on pace to become only the 4th player in the history of the league to average at least 30 points, 5 assists, 1 steal, and 1 block per game.

The OKC superstar is currently averaging 31.4 PPG, 4.8 RPG, 5.5 APG, 1.7 SPG, and 1.0 BPG. He is averaging these numbers while shooting 51.0% from the field and 34.9% from the 3-point line.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Recently Made Interesting Comments About LeBron James’ Game

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander now shares a record with LeBron James. But does that mean that the OKC superstar likes James?

He may not hate him as a person, but Shai recently admitted that he has never liked James’ game for one huge reason.

“His game, I never really liked his game,” Gilgeous-Alexander said. “To me, when I was younger, he was just super athletic, I wasn’t that. He was 6’8″ and super strong, and I wasn’t that either. So I never like, related… Just kill you with skill. It is fun beating Bron.”

Many players from Shai’s generation have grown up admiring LeBron James and his skills. However, the OKC star has boldly claimed that he’s never been a fan of the King.

It will be exciting to see when the two stars lock horns next time. Fans will be on the edge of their seats to watch this much-anticipated matchup.
