The Los Angeles Lakers are a team that completely restructured their roster at the trade deadline, and there is no doubt that they added a lot of young, talented role players to their roster. They have clearly improved as a squad, and it’ll be interesting to see how far they can go.

When speaking on a recent episode of the “This League Uncut” podcast, Chris Haynes claimed that the Los Angeles Lakers believe that they can beat the Denver Nuggets and the Memphis Grizzlies in the playoffs.

“They believe they got a legitimate shot to take down Denver,” said Chris Haynes. “They believe they got a legitimate shot to take down Memphis. I don’t know about Phoenix when Kevin Durant is healthy — I haven’t asked around on that front — but there’s no fear at all.”

It is clear that the Los Angeles Lakers believe that they have the talent and the experience to face any team in the playoffs. Though it is definitely a hot take to say that they can beat some of the top-tier seeds in the Western Conference right now, stranger things have happened in the NBA.

LeBron James Will Return Before The End Of The Season

Though there were some previous concerns about LeBron James not being close to returning, we have recently received some good news on that front from coach Darvin Ham. Apparently, the Los Angeles Lakers expect LeBron James to come back before the end of the season. Getting James back will be a huge boon for the franchise, and there’s no question that he is the key to the Lakers being able to make a deep run in the playoffs this season.

It will be interesting to see if the Los Angeles Lakers will be able to make the playoffs this season. Their stretch to finish the year is relatively light, and they should be able to be in the play-in tournament comfortably. Whether they will get out of the play-in tournament is another question entirely, however, as it is a one-game elimination format. A lot of things could happen in a single game, and the Lakers may not get an opportunity to rectify mistakes as they would throughout a playoff series.

At the end of the day, though, the Los Angeles Lakers cannot be counted out simply based on their talent level. They seem like a team that can get far in the right circumstances, and we’ll see what happens in the future.
