Austin Reaves has been the talk of the Twitter town since his 35-point performance that saw the Los Angeles Lakers pip the Orlando Magic 111-105 to keep their playoff hopes alive.

Lauding the guard was former NBA star, JJ Redick who had a rather contrasting and unique NSFW word of praise. “Memes aside, the guy is a d*ck,” he said on his ‘Old Man And Three Podcast.

“He competes every night. Winning and losing matters to him… He has a level of mental and physical toughness that I love. Those are the types of guys that LeBron James also loves.”

Trust Redick, who is one of the more friendly faces and shares a solid rapport with some of the modern-day stars to call Reaves what he did.

Reaves was one of the primary architects behind the Lakers’ much-needed win against the Magic. With the shooters having an off day, the Arkansas man ripped through Orlando’s defense and took LA a step closer to the playoffs.

LeBron James And Anthony Davis Had High Praise For Austin Reaves

LeBron James was a happy man watching Reaves do the damage to take the Lakers home. Soon after the win, he took to Twitter to lavish rich praise on the guard.

“AR YOU A BAD MUTHA…SHUT YO MOUTH!!! You toooooo TOUGH!!” the veteran tweeted.

This was seconded by Anthony Davis who opined that it was Reaves who took the Purple and Gold home. Speaking to the media post the game, he said, “He carried us tonight with his play. Got whatever he wanted … pick and roll … got to the line. We know what we have in Austin.”

On the season front, Reaves has notched up 12.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.9 assists in the 54 games he played this season. His string of impressive showings has already seen his contract and future with the Lakers being discussed.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise if LA keeps him on board with a lucrative deal. It will surely be a shame if they fail to retain the versatile player’s services.
