The Los Angeles Lakers recently faced the New York Knicks in a must-win game for the franchise, with the final score being 108-112. Though the Lakers had the lead at times in the game, it is clear that the Knicks were the better team this evening, and managed to grind it out.

After the game, a lot of Lakers fans shared their reactions to the game. One fan was clearly unhappy, pointing out a number of things that went wrong for the team during this game.

Anthony Davis getting locked up by no names with no urgency

No rebounding

Ham going zone defense

missed way too many Fts

just an awful loss

One fan criticized coach Darvin Ham’s rotations.

Why would you wait so long to foul? Also, get Ham out of here with his god awful rotations. This ain’t the time to play games. Every game counts.

Another fan said that Jarred Vanderbilt needed more playing time.

Vanderbilt not playing much in the 4th is criminal. BANG!

Multiple fan accounts criticized the team’s poor free-throw shooting.

Missed free throws, AD playing soft, Beasley and Brown were terrible, ham awful coaching per usual. Yea this was a recipe for a L

There is no doubt that this was a tough loss for the Los Angeles Lakers. Though they look likely to make the play-in tournament, they desperately needed this game to potentially be able to avoid it and make the playoffs outright by getting the No. 6 seed.

The Los Angeles Lakers Could End Up Being A Force In The Playoffs

The Los Angeles Lakers definitely have the talent to make some noise in the playoffs this season, despite this loss. They will also be getting a “playoff-like experience” in the regular season as well, which is why Derek Fisher is confident in their chances.

“You’re getting playoff-like experience in the regular season,” Fisher said. “Those great teams that could cruise, it was because of the playoff experience and this group which is new, so many new faces. It is really good for them to be in a lot of these must-win situations, big games, (and) a lot of these guys speaking about it in their interviews. It’s going to bind them together in a really good way and hopefully, it’ll pay off with some wins.”

Being in the playoff chase despite their poor start to the season means that every game is a must-win contest for the Los Angeles Lakers. This will help the team develop the right mentality and approach when it comes to the playoffs.

It will be interesting to see how far the Los Angeles Lakers get this year. Some people believe that they could upset the Denver Nuggets in the first round, and they definitely have the talent to compete with anyone in a postseason setting.
