Which player is the GOAT of the NBA? This is one of the biggest debates in the NBA community, and over the years, it has only caught more fire. Following LeBron James breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record, the debate is once again getting a lot of attention from the media.

Many believe that LeBron James breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar‘s all-time scoring record means that the King has also surpassed Michael Jordan as the GOAT of the NBA.

It has led to fans getting divided about their GOAT picks between LeBron, Kareem, and Jordan. But is that the best way to decide who is the GOAT? Well, former NBA superstar and current analyst Charles Barkley recently gave his valuable insight on the GOAT debate.

“Kareem was the greatest in his generation, MJ was the greatest in his generation, and LeBron has been the greatest in his generation. You can’t compare eras; it’s impossible. LeBron is, and I’ve said this before, the greatest story ever. I don’t want to leave Kobe out of that conversation either, but I’ve always said, as great as Kobe was, Kevin Garnett was, LeBron’s the one that came in ready to play at 18 years old.”

Barkley believes it is simply impossible to compare players from different eras and hailed Kareem, LeBron, and Jordan as the GOATs of their respective eras. But is that really the truth?
