LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers are entering the NBA All-Star weekend with smiles on their faces. In their most recent matchup, the new-look Lakers did a great job of registering a victory against the New Orleans Pelicans.
With James’ return to the roster, the Lakers easily defeated the Pelicans, and the final score stood at 120-102. The 18-point win will certainly boost the confidence of the team.
But with the NBA All-Star break, there is also the risk of the team losing focus and getting detached. Keeping that in mind, LeBron James had a great message for the entire team ahead of the NBA All-Star weekend.

“Yeah, we gotta a lot of work to do still. Every game is going to be tough for us, especially going on a stretch. We know on the type of push that we need to make. I want the guys to enjoy the break, but don’t get a 100% detached because we want to come back and try to keep this thing going.”
James’ message to his teammates was as clear as it gets. He wants the team to make sure they do not lose focus after the break. Whether James’ message got through to the team or not, we’ll find out when the Lakers play their next game.
LeBron James Says The NBA All-Star Break Fell At The Perfect Time For His Recovery From Injury
The Los Angeles Lakers were recently given a concerning update about LeBron James’ foot injury. A report claimed that the King’s foot injury might linger around for the remainder of the season.
James was playing some hefty minutes over the past few weeks, and obviously, his body, at 38 years old, cannot take those heavy minutes for an extended period of time. James talked about the perfect timing of the NBA All-Star break in the press conference after clinching the victory against the Pelicans.

“It’s amazing. It’s great and at falls at the perfect time. I didn’t wanna have to take off the last three games, but my foot and my ankle just wasn’t allowing me to go out and compete like I know I can compete. … It’s going to be very beneficial to myself. I know I got a game on Sunday, but we don’t play again till Thursday. It’d be great for not only for me, for the rest of the group as well.”
James will be a part of the 2023 NBA All-Star game, but as he mentioned, he will have a couple of days off after that before facing the Golden State Warriors next.
This time will allow James to regain his energy and get himself 100% fit for the final push of the season in hopes of qualifying for the NBA playoffs.
